This tasty treat is a delightful green tea from the Himalayan region, upper Ilam, Nepal. Grown at lofty 4,500 meters, this tea boasts a dark green leggy style leaf with nice white buds. The cup is delicate, yet forthcoming and is surprisingly "Fujian" in character, with delicate white grape notes and hints of soft nuttiness. A second infusion reveals its high mountain character with floral and blossomy nuances that linger. The region and elevation impart the character of these leaves and given the tea bushes a front row seat for the ballet of mountain mists that surround the tea gardens at such high elevation.
This tea contains a medium level of caffeine | Steep at 180° for 2-3 minutes.
